How much is delivery and when does my order arrive?

We offer free deliveries, worldwide, on orders over €250. You can find the costs of delivery in the tables below. We ship from The Netherlands.

Are service point pick-ups available?

Absolutely! If you are checking out from the Netherlands or Belgium, select the service point delivery PostNL option. After you have paid, you can choose your service point.  

If you have ordered from another country, write to us requesting a service point delivery location at hello@dandelie.com 

What shipping methods are available?

We aim to ship your order the same or next business day, with deliveries sent during standard business hours from Monday to Friday. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

We ship from The Netherlands and use the following shipping services based on your location:

  • Netherlands & Belgium – PostNL 
  • USA – USPS
  • Canada – Canada Post
  • Australia – Australia Post
  • UK – Royal Mail
  • Other Countries – We ship worldwide! A detailed tracking page will be provided so you can see exactly where your package is.

All express deliveries are handled by DHL Express. 

Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you don’t see it, please check your spam folder or reach out to us. Once dispatched, you’ll receive the shipping confirmation with tracking details via email.

During busy periods, there may be slight delays, as we are a small two-women-run business. We truly appreciate your support and celebrate every order with a little happy dance! 🎶

Customs/ Import Duties and Taxes

Taxes are included for purchases within the European Union. For orders outside the EU, customs and import taxes may apply, and buyers are responsible for any fees in their country. For details on potential charges, please contact your local customs office.

Can I alter my order?

We are able to change your order if we have not processed it yet!

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering, via hello@dandelie.com, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If not, we’ll despatch your order and then you can return it to us if you wish upon receiving it.

We charge a cancellation fee to ensure fairness and sustainability for our slow fashion store. When an order is canceled, we often miss the opportunity to serve other customers who may have been interested in that item. Each piece in our collection is crafted with care and consideration, and canceling an order can lead to wasted resources and time that were dedicated to your purchase.

Additionally, our commitment to slow fashion means that we invest significant effort in sourcing high-quality materials and producing items in limited quantities. This approach means that every order is carefully planned, and a cancellation disrupts our production schedule and inventory management.

The cancellation fee also encourages customers to be certain about their choices before placing an order, helping us manage our inventory and future collections more effectively. It’s important to note that transaction fees incurred by our payment processing can be up to 10% of the order amount, further impacting our finances when an order is canceled. Processing cancellations requires administrative work, including updating our inventory and communicating changes, which incurs additional costs as well.

Finally, charging a cancellation fee helps us maintain a fair system for all our customers, ensuring that everyone respects the value of our handmade pieces. For a small business focused on sustainability, every transaction is important. The cancellation fee supports a more stable financial flow, allowing us to continue creating beautiful, ethically produced fashion.

We appreciate your understanding, as this policy helps us provide the best possible service and maintain the integrity of our slow fashion mission.

Can I track my order?

Yes. We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, through to despatch and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online.

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You can place an order as a guest with no obligation to create an account. We do recommend that you create an account, however, if you’d like to check your order history and have your shopping basket items and payment details saved for next time.

Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch at hello@dandelie.com just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

At Dandelie, we offer multiple payment options for your convenience, including:

Where is my refund?

Returns may take up to 7 days to process. If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please note that banks and credit card companies may take additional time to process and post the refund.

Returns

Can I return or exchange an item?

You can return items within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible, items must be unused, unworn, with tags, and in their original packaging.

To start a return, contact us at returns@dandelie.com. Once approved, we’ll provide a return form to include with your package. Unapproved returns will not be accepted. We process return requests from Monday to Friday during office hours CET and aim to get back to you within 24 hours. All items will be checked by us upon arrival. We will be unable to process returns without the return form inside the package, as we'll need to know if it's a return from you or just a gift for us! ‭❤

Return shipping costs and responsibility lie with the customer. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right!

How do I clean and care for my leather boots?

Proper care helps extend the life of your boots, keeping them durable and looking brand new. From conditioning leather to weatherproofing and polishing, our guide covers everything you need to maintain your boots for years to come.

My boots feel so tight! Can I make my boots bigger?

You can stretch the calf of your boots up to 5 cm or 2 inches, and to certain extents the ankle and front width using the following methods:

  • A cobbler can expand the calf and width using a professional stretching machine.
  • Apply a leather stretching spray to soften the material.
  • Wear thicker socks to gradually loosen the leather.

Note: The length of the boots cannot be stretched. Avoid using a hairdryer, as excessive heat may cause color changes, requiring a darker polish to correct.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, we do. These are issued electronically by email and each contains a unique reference number. Our gift vouchers are ideal if you’re not sure what to get that special person in your life. Manufacturing and Production

How are Dandelie boots made?

Handcrafted with the finest quality leather and designed by us, our boots go through a meticulous 250-step production process, using natural materials and Goodyear stitching. Each pair features hand-cut leather, embroidered motifs, and carefully assembled elements, making them truly unique. Slight variations between pairs add to their character. Every boot is assigned a tracking code for identification, ensuring each pair has its own identity. Designed to last a lifetime, these boots are meant to create eternal memories.

What is Goodyear Welt?

All our boots are crafted using Goodyear welt stitching, a traditional, high-quality construction method that ensures durability and longevity. This technique involves stitching the upper part of the boot to the sole through a leather welt, creating a strong, waterproof bond. Goodyear stitching not only enhances the durability of the boots but also allows for resoleability, meaning you can replace the soles when they wear out. This makes our boots an investment in both comfort and long-lasting wear.
